1 Corinthians 13:4 “Love is Patient…..”
That is me at a Valentines party, and since love is the theme of this month just because as all us singles know it is single awarness month. And Their are two ways you can look at this month =( or =). For me Obviously i look at it in the most positive way, as a gift. We live in such a negative world it is really hard to think about the positive aspect of life and being single you are allowed to grow into the person that God wants you to become! I was having a hard time the other day because Scripture and sermon was saying that I should be truthful with my feelings and tell that special person how i really feel. But understand that I am not ready because I am not the man of God for her, and if God allows me to Marry this women of God it is Upon his will. Marry! wow, im thinking that far OF COURSE! because your intent to date is to Marry!
1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
I LOVE THIS Verse! because no where it says that love is an emotion….but a choice you decided to be patient, you decide to be kind….and for me to have the desire to rush things its not worth it..because If it was really meant to be then she’ll be single as long as God wants her to be. Same goes for me….. And it always reminds me about how we live in such a fast pace world…Lets slow it down….and really get to know this person. I took this class Love, Sex and Lasting relationship and one of the first steps is infatuation…..it takes about 18months to get over that…..would you really honestly truly love this person after really getting to know them. So for me….I trust in God, and when he says I’m ready, than I’m ready….Happy Valentines Everyone =) I love you!
